How to Put on a Wig
Hello and welcome to our wig store. Putting on a wig is easy and once you see how easy it is, you will be hooked on wigs and love them just as much as we do.
Wearing a wig is a lot like wearing a hat. You don't need anything special to put on a hat, you just slip it on.Simply take the wig, position the front and ear tabs over the top front of your head, lift up and pull down to the nape of your wig.
If the wig does not feel secure enough, take the wig off and adjust the straps inside until you get your desired fit. Well the same goes with a wig. Most wig caps come with two tabs on each side called ear tabs. You simply locate these tabs with your thumb and index finger, bend your head forward and starting from your forehead drape the wig over your head and line up the ear tabs with your own ears.
Wigs are designed well and fit well so do not worry. Your wig will not come off. They are very secure provided you are wearing the right size and if you do not have hair underneath your wig, you can secure the wig with tape or liquid adhesive if needed.
Usually,standard wigs do not require any tape or glue or anything to keep them on but that is entirely up the person wearing the wig and is a personal choice.. Simply tightening the adjustment straps in the back is enough and is is not necessary. 99% of the wigs are designed to fit the head size of 99% percent of the population, hence the reason that you rarely will see a wig size in a wig product description. It is just generally understood that wigs are one size fits all for the most part. For more information about head sizes, click here.
If the wig you are interested in is not a standard wig cap (mono cap, machine made cap) then you may be looking at a lace wig and depending on the type of lace wig, applying these wigs may require a different technique but overall will still just need to be slipped on over your head to be worn.
Rest assured, 80% of the wigs on this website are standard sized wigs and nothing is needed to put them on. Some people choose to wear a wig cap or wig liner to help flatten their hair under the wig and that is optional.
